In 1854 when the Hubbell Hotel was built, there was one dining room.
Today, Hubbell House Restaurant guests get lost moving from dining room to dining room, as we can seat more than 300 people at a time. Read more below to hear how we got here!

HUBBELL ROOM

Where it all started - the first dining room. Guests love the charm and decor in the Hubbell, especially the coffee and tea cups.
And it was restaurant co-founder, Irene Pappas', favorite room to dine. 

WINE ROOM

The original hotel lobby, which later served as the bar when Paul Pappas opened the restaurant in 1946. 
Guests have "fawn-d" memories of the fawns that made their home in this dining room for many years.

Chafoulias ROOM

The original kitchen, which now serves as a quiet dining room.
For years it was known as the "SPR '' or "Special Party Room," this room has been renamed for the Chaufoulias family, long-term friends and supporters of both the Pappas and Powers families. The Chaufolias Room can seat groups of up to 16 people. This room can be reserved for small parties. For more information, contact us today!

pappas room

Named for the Pappas Family, founders and owners of the Hubbell House for over 75 years.
Formerly known as the Greeley Room, in honor of Horace Greeley, former US Representative and Presidential Candidate, who was a guest of the Hubbell Hotel and whose signature is found on the placemat. The Pappas Room was Paul Pappas' first addition to the Hubbell House in 1957, adding 75 additional seats.
Many longtime customers recall the years when the Pappas boys' large school portraits lined the dining room wall.

Ramsey room

Named for Alexander Ramsey, Minnesota Territory's first governor, and the State of Minnesota's second governor.
Ramsey also was a guest of the Hubbell Hotel you'll find his signature on the placemat. This room was added in 1964.

Bar

Our current bar was an addition in 1974, and went through a remodel in 2022.
Throughout the years the bar has transformed from a traditional bar to an extension of our dining rooms, where you can order off our full menu in a more laid-back atmosphere.

Stage coach room

In 1983, Paul Pappas purchased the neighboring Carlson Cafe and used the space to add the Stagecoach Room onto the Hubbell House. 
The Stagecoach Room was Don Pappas' favorite space to host family and friends over the years.
The Stagecoach Room can seat groups of up to 75 people. Call to book for large parties!
